The Hotel was first built in 1940's and has undergone a sensitive complete renovation in 2007/2008.
Interior designer Iliana Moore supervised the decoration of the Hotel Mountain Brook in the Adirondack tradition. Iliana knows the mountain top well, having summered in the area since she was a child. Chef Eduard has over 25 years of experience and owns several successful resturants, including the Village Bistro in Tannersville, as well as in his native country Austria. His talent and expertise have been noted in many professional publications world wide.

Laurie Darfler-Sweeney's qualifications make her one of the most experienced and talented in the industry. She brings her deep passion for health and beauty to the guests of the Hotel Mountain Brook. She has been a NYS licensed Cosmetologist for over 30 years, a NYS certified Cosmetology teacher, and a NYS certified athletics coach. Laurie owned and operated the Shear Art Hair Salon in Hudson Falls for 22 years and taught cosetology at WSWHE BOCES. Laurie has earned the combined distinction of VICA local & sate winner in Cosmetology and is a member of the WSWHE BOCES Hall of Fame.
