Tabla is a mediterranean style restaurant with a full menu and bar, serving everything from cheese platters, gourmet dishes, to brick-oven fired pizza. To invest in its own community, Tabla is proud to announce its implementation of a Living Wage Fee for all its employees, making it a sustainable and supportive local business. Insider tip: their citrus infused olives are addictive and a must-try! They also have a seasonal porch that is lovely to sit on in Summer season. We hosted our holiday party here for our entire staff and their families back in 2021 when they first opened, and have been hooked ever since!

Jessie’s Harvest House is one of our personal favorites, a locally owned eatery serving up a fresh take on Rustic-County American Style Cuisine. The chefs use locally sourced ingredients, with a menu that has permanent and seasonally changing items. In the winter months, Jessie’s has a set up of outdoor “igloo” bubbles where guests can eat outdoors, while protected form the elements and warmed by the heated enclosures (seriously, these are so cool). They also have a tavern/bar area with a variety of cocktails, beers, and wines. We recommend starting with their charred Spanish octopus!

While not technically in Tannersville, we wanted to add Scribner’s Prospect to this list. Less than a 10 minute drive from Hotel Mountain Brook is Prospect in Hunter, a restaurant within another hotel. Prospect has a restaurant with a full bar and private whiskey lounge room, their menu playing with a twist on Contemporary American Cuisine, incorporating the local offerings of the Catskills into each dish.

Last Chance Antiques & Cheese Cafe has a little something for everyone. Located in a historic building on the main strip of downtown Tannersville, Last Chance Antiques & Cheese serves up a little something for everyone, from meat & dairy lovers to those with dietary preferences (vegetarians & gluten-free). On site, hidden behind a secret door disguised as a shelf of nostalgic groceries, they have a Tavern with a full bar, serving over 300 beers, 100 whiskeys, and an extensive wine list. Best of all, they have a vintage candy shop with a curated selection of candy, chocolates, honey, syrup, and cheeses, so you’ll have a little something sweet to take home. They offer seasonal live music in their new biergarten outside.

Nates' Mountain House , the 120-seat restaurant, bar and lounge features avant-garde design and a communal vibe, an excellent gathering place for locals and visitors looking for phenomenal fare and a choose-your-own-adventure array of activities. The beverage program features a rotating selection of cocktails, with beer and wine on tap. The kitchen, led by chef Jonah Egan, focuses on comforting American classics with a contemporary spin and local, seasonal ingredients. On weekends, guests will enjoy a brunch buffet with the elevated standards– made-to-order omelets, freshly fried chicken, springy salads, a waffle station. Happy hour at the Bar every day from 4pm-6pm, except Saturdays.

Mama's Boy is a burger joint that specializes in burgers, milkshakes, french fries, and ice cream. A majority of their ingredients are sourced from local farms and creameries. Even their beef is created from a special blend of grass-fed, grain-finished, hormone-free Black Angus beef from JFF Farms, which is a family-run farm just six miles away. They have a wide variety for those with food preferences, with their menu items including options like turkey burgers, fried chicken, impossible burgers, portobello mushroom burgers, and felafel (all of which can be prepared vegan). They proudly serve up Jane’s Ice Cream, made locally in upstate New York (with a range of vegan flavors)! Dine at one of their many outdoor tables, including a covered section in case of rainy days.

The Boathouse doubles as a restaurant and rental facility. It's right down the hill from us and has much to offer. On a warm day, have some fun at the Rip Van Winkle Lake! Canoes, Kayaks, Stand-Up Paddle Boards, and Inner Tubes are all available for daily rental. If you're in the mood for a bite after your water activities, eat at The Boathouse! Enjoy fresh seafood and fries as you dine outdoors on their patio area. In the evenings, bonfires are lit in their outdoor pits, encouraging people to gather around. Pancho Villa’s is a family-owned Mexican Restaurant that focuses on traditional Mexican cuisine, proudly serving Tannersville since 1993. Their menu has many variations of tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and more! The locals will tell you that this is the place to get a good margarita and the best chips & salsa around. We love their colorful exterior in our painted village but their nachos, flautas, and other apps are the real MVP.

Fortune Garden is Tannersville’s classic New York style Chinese Food Restaurant. This restaurant provides reliable, quick service and is open all year round. Interior dining options are limited, with quick pick-up through their plexiglass window. Order online for pickup or delivery through their website, linked to the Beyond Menu (we recommend downloading the beyond menu app, it truly makes ordering so much easier). We appreciate that they are open on days other restaurants are closed!

Selena’s Diner is a family owned restaurant serving up that doubles as a breakfast diner/pizzeria. The classic vintage diner aesthetic is a vibe, and the food is diner quality. This one’s a good place for a stop with kids for something easy and affordable. We love an all-day breakfast or a night-time pizza craving and it's a blessing to have a diner so closeby! Selena's was open during the pandemic when many other restaurants had to close, and we appreciated the feeling of normalcy they brought to town.

Bear & Fox is the town’s favorite little coffee shop, located on the end of main street (heading towards the Stewart’s Shop). Open on weekends, this joint offers the best coffee & espresso drinks, fresh pastries, and gourmet sandwiches. The shop also offers curated artisan groceries and many wonderful gifts for eclectic hearts. We love their daily specials and found our favorite incense in their shop!

Shandaken Bake is located right next to Sundry, serving up the most popular baked goods in town. This chic addition to the downtown area specializes in seasonally-influenced pastries that uses locally sourced ingredients. Sip on a cup of freshly brewed coffee or tea while indulging on freshly baked pastries. If you're more of a hot chocolate person, you can expect beyond the basics with speciality flavors like peppermint and spicy cayenne. The best of all: the freshly baked donuts served up everyday from their kitchen. They stick with the best flavors, not too much fuss: plain glazed, powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, hot apple cider, maple glazed, and chocolate glazed. The Village Market & Deli offers made-to order breakfast foods including griddle french toast, pancakes, egg sandwiches on freshly baked bread, and omelettes made any way. On their shelves is a collection of curated groceries. Fellow Mountain Cafe is a coffee shop, bakery, and cafe all in one. Everyday freshly baked breads, pastries, baguette sandwiches, and quiches are restocked, with breakfast items served all day and lunch menu items available after 11am. There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors on their wrap-around porch area, perfect for large gatherings or coming solo.
